Trained in classical piano at the age of 7, Quinton had an early start of learning music. He also had early vocal training as a member of the Oregon Children's Choir. By the age of 12, he started learning guitar. At this time, he started producing/recording original songs at his home studio. After family and friends took interest in his music, they encouraged him to promote it. He gained attention for his original songs and climbed the Myspace charts for the state of Oregon. Quinton was the music director for the youth at his church and won multiple awards for his playing during his senior year of high school. After moving to California he studied music, taught guitar, and performed frequently in Los Angeles. He currently teaches guitar, writes/records new songs, and continues to perform locally and occasionally out of town.
"We have nothing but praise for Aria studios. Quinton Smith is extremely gifted and talented. We are blessed to have him teach our daughter. He shows her above and beyond patience. He keeps her interested by picking music she likes and giving her lots of praise and encouragement. We appreciate all the kindness and professionalism Quinton and Aria studios have shown our family."

"I just have to say thank you for offering the most amazing guitar services! We have a very busy schedule throughout the week and my ten year old daughter, Tiger Lily said that her lessons are the one thing she looks forward to the most! She has grown leaps and bounds with her musical comprehension and it has only been about two months of lessons. There is a true fluid movement of progression to his approach to teaching children.
He is very patient and relaxed yet, he creates excitement around each lesson. He connects to the young artists mind and encourages their talent through acceptance and praise. I would highly recommend his services to any adult or child that would want to cultivate their love and appreciation of music!"

"This was more fun than we’ve had in a long time. He is an amazing guitar teacher; he is clever, kind and very patient. He took the time to understand our personal objectives for this activity and created lesson plans that moved us along at an appropriate pace, within about 6 lessons we were able to play a simple song for our family at a holiday gathering. I would highly recommend guitar lessons at Aria Studios; One of Portland’s best kept secrets, but won’t be for long."
