Since the age of four, Tiffany has pursued a passionate love for the piano. Having begun her studies with the Yahama program, she transferred to private study with Shirley Brendlinger at the age of 11, with whom she completed all the requirements for Syllabus, passing with honors. Tiffany also received the Syllabus Artist Award in 2000. Following high school, she continued her study with Harold Gray, retired Professor of Music at Portland State University. Often, Tiffany was awarded for her artistic and sensitive playing. From 1994-1998, she was a Classical Festival Winner. Her interpretation of Baroque literature earned her the awards of Junior Bach Festival Winner in 1998 and Baroque Festival Winner in 1999. In additional to solo piano performance, Tiffany has enjoyed performing as a featured soloist with the Mid-Columbia Sinfonietta playing Mozart's Concerto in A Major, KV. 488 and the Mt. Hood Pops Orchestra performing Mendelssohn's Rondo Brilliante, Op. 29. Her concerto competition awards include 1st Place OMTA Concert Event in 1998 and a Finalist in the Young Artist Debut Competition in 1999. Over the years she has developed a love for teaching and has had a private studio for almost 20 years.
An avid composer, Tiffany is currently composing the orchestral score to the full-length ballet, Madman, which was commissioned and will be premiered by Ballet 5:8 in the fall of 2016 in Chicago.
Tiffany has a Masters Certificate in Arranging and Orchestration from Berklee College of Music.
"My daughter started piano lessons with Tiffany 4 years ago. Although she was only 7 at the time, Tiffany has an amazing way of sparking her natural drive to do well and practice. Tiffany is patient and encouraging, and her own passion and talent for music inspired my daughter to keep with her piano studies. In addition, Tiffany is reliable and responsive in her communication, and has been an all around delightful person to work with for both my daughter and myself. I highly recommend her to anyone interested in piano lessons!"

"The progress my daughter has made with Tiffany as a teacher has exceeded my expectations. She has been very patient with my daughter and inspired her to practice to improve her skills. I have been especially pleased with the past few recitals. My daughter truly enjoys playing for me the new pieces she has learned. It is a great joy for me to hear the excitement in her playing and the confidence she has gained. Tiffany would allow my daughter to choose different pieces of music that she was interested in learning instead of just using the piano lesson books. It was evident that Tiffany encouraged each student to bring part of his or her own character into the music. She helped my daughter find and develop her own sense of musicality. I can clearly see the enthusiasm that my daughter now has for playing the piano. And it is from having Tiffany as her teacher. By showing her that she could play a more difficult piece, it allowed her to expand her thinking of what she was capable of accomplishing with hard work, persistence, and patience.
I would highly recommend her for any job, especially a job involving teaching."
